HELLO


The Forest School Company is a small, independent outdoor education provider, specialising in Forest School programmes, as well as workshops and sessions for both children and adults that focus on nature based learning and nature connection.

The Forest School Company sessions and workshops are devised, developed and delivered by me, Terry Molyneaux. I have 2 children (3/7yrs) and we are a home educating family, living in Hampshire, UK. I have a creative industries background, and over 15 years of experience in education, teaching and learning, and facilitating creative learning practices. I am passionate about person centred/led learning and the benefits of an approach to education that celebrates process over product. I absolutely love the outdoors and have an extremely keen interest in nature connection, and, learning about the natural world and how to conserve it. All these factors led me to retrain as a Forest School Leader, with Surrey Wildlife Trust, in November 2018. I established The Forest School Company in Jan 2020, to enable me to share my passions, skills, knowledge and understanding of creative outdoor, nature based, and person centred/led learning with others..

Alongside the Forest School Leader training, I also have a PGCE FE, relevant training in Safe Guarding, Enhanced DBS certificate, and full Paediatric and Outdoor First Aid training (updated every 3 years) - I am also regularly undertaking a variety of courses/workshops to further develop my practice, and refine the knowledge and skills associated with the effective delivery of creative outdoor education. I am also a member of the Forest School Association, and a committee member for the Forest School Association Hampshire Local Group. The Forest School Company and the delivery of it’s sessions/workshops is covered by specialist Forest School/Outdoor Education insurance.

Our woodland camp is based in a beautiful, private patch of woodland in Selborne, Hampshire. GU34 3JH

We have a formal written agreement with Gilbert White’s House for the appropriate use of the woodland site to deliver our sessions and workshops, and we work closely with their team to manage and care for the site we use. All sessions and workshops are organised and delivered by The Forest School Company.
