THE CAMPFIRE CLUB

(Full-day holiday drop-off sessions)

Taking place at our private woodland site on the grounds of Gilbert White’s House, Selborne, Hampshire, we will be hosting a 'The Campfire Club' session during the majority of half-terms, and major school holidays.

Full-day, holiday club drop-off session - 9am - 3pm.

Our next Campfire Club dates are:

Monday 8th April & Tuesday 9th April 2024

Our Campfire Club sessions return this February, and we are excited to be offering our popular full-day, drop-off sessions for children 5-11yrs. Any children who are 5 years old must be turning 6 before 31st August 2024.

These are drop-off sessions, where adults will leave their children to enjoy some independent time at our private woodland site, playing, exploring and connecting with nature in these 6hr Forest School inspired sessions.

These sessions will provide children with the opportunity to explore our private woodland environment and connect with nature through these immersive, full-day sessions. Children will have the opportunity to develop their ‘bushcraft’ skills, make new friends, collaborate to build dens, play nature based games and work on various nature inspired crafts, use tools to develop their whittling & woodcraft skills, build, light and maintain a campfire, experience campfire cooking, and much more..

Much like our regular Forest School programmes, these sessions will enable children to follow their own interests, with an optional range of crafts, games and activities for them to participate in should they wish.

Nature connection is at the very heart of our sessions, and ‘The Campfire Club’ aims to support children in fostering a deeper respect and appreciation for our natural environment.

Children will need to bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks, but we will also be doing a little campfire cooking during these sessions.

The cost of each session is £36.50 per child, per session. The optional activities and crafts will vary at each session, depending on season, etc.

These sessions run on limited numbers (15 children) each day.

The sessions are delivered outdoors in our private woodland site. These sessions will be facilitated by both male and female members of the team, with at least one of them being a Forest School Leader and qualified First Aider. These sessions will be delivered in all weathers (tarps are used to provide shelter from any rain) except extremely strong winds (in line with our Terms and Conditions of Booking)
