beginner’s Spoon carving - Green Woodworking

Taking place at our private woodland site on the grounds of Gilbert White’s House, Selborne, Hampshire, we will be gathering around the campfire and hosting a 'Beginner’s Spoon Carving' workshop, on Sunday 9th June, 10.00am-4.00pm.

Full Process: From Log to Spoon.

For those who want to learn or develop the skills required to carve a spoon from a solid greenwood log.

This full day, 6hr Beginner’s Spoon Carving workshop is designed for participants, 18yrs+ and will provide the opportunity to learn how to split a greenwood log into billets, then use an axe to shape it into a spoon blank. Please note, that this workshop has a focused and structured delivery.

This is an adults workshop, for participants aged 18yrs+. We do also offer Green Woodworking sessions for children and families, and these can be found via. our workshops page.
