Handcrafted by a bearded chap in a hat, using an axe, knives, and other human powered tools. This scoop was carved from a log of spalted beech wood, and is finished with food grade organic linseed oil.

A lovely little scoop, with lots of beautiful spalting throughout.

Please note that I do not use power tools or sanding tools/methods to finish my hand carved products. My process also embraces the natural character and qualities of the material being worked, following the organic and inherent contours of the grain and characteristics of each piece of wood. Therefore, you should expect a form that expresses and embraces the beauty of each individual piece of wood, along with some tool marks which celebrate the authentically hand crafted process of each piece.
