Set of 5, Whittled Sticks, in our gnome style..

Each Whittled Stick is cut, carved, formed and finished by hand from Hazel coppiced in Hampshire. We use knives to shape our Whittled Sticks, not disc sanders. Being a natural product, each whittled stick varies in shape, size, colour, texture, and natural markings.. Just like we all do..

Gnomes with coloured hats are painted with an environmentally friendly, water based, mineral paint which provides a similar aesthetic and finish to traditional milk paint, but without the milk.. No animal products are used in the making of the paint we use. Apart from the painted areas on the gnomes, all other areas of our Whittled Sticks are left natural and ‘unfinished’ and we do not seal/varnish or wax any of them, in any way. Again, just like we all do, Whittled Sticks are likely to age and change with use, picking up little traces of play from their use.. We recommend embracing any additional knocks, marks, fading, etc. as they occur, as these are part of your Whittled Stick’s past, and the story of it’s use.

Whittled sticks are not made in a factory, and are made from natural materials. Some will be small, some larger, some thin, some thicker, some smooth, and some textured. Each Whittled Stick we produce is completely unique to the one before, and so please understand that by ordering a set you will be supplied with a collection of Whittled Sticks (in style ordered) varying in size, form, thickness, texture, etc. The Whittled Sticks supplied will be different to those pictured.

As these are made from natural resources and will vary in size, etc. we do not recommend that they are given to children under 3yrs.
